So we all have those can't burn without items that help keep us feeling fresh....
I survived on baby wipes and some lovely Dr Bronners.
We found that baby wipe refills kept in a ziplock stayed moist all week and made a great washcloth in a dishpan of lemon water. I really liked the lemon better than vinegar...and we got a great deal at Sams.
Dr. Bronners with about a tsp in a spray bottle of water made a great refresher. I loved the Eucalyptus but my John found that to be a little too strong and liked the Peppermint.....
What works, what doesn't and what would be fun to try?
try not caring... thats my approach. as soon as you get clean...your dirty again. unlesss your planning on sex...like you can plan anything out there let alone getting laid.... if you are somehow gunna need your penis or vag jay jay clean...then yeah baby wipes. ALSO...important....if your gunna chase after a water truck...leave your dirty socks ON! then after all you gotts do to get the playa off your feet is peal them of and put on lotion and new socks. don't go barefoot! this is not good thinking. this is drunk jason thinking...not to be followed!
water truck chasing minus socks is nicole-irresponsible and makes for a helluva mess to deal with post spray down does not leave you feeling clean leaves you feeling dirtier then you started out poor choice socks are a must also on that note.. do not RUN too fast after the water truck.. the best trick is to wait on the side lines and get right behind it as its passing you.. running on mud=slipping and falling=you feeling much dirtier then you started out being (also nicole-irresponsible-boxed wine in the afternoon thinking) sarah im with you--baby wipes are a life saver i also found that wash cloth just dipped in cooler water gets all the dust off and leaves you feeling mighty refreshed -->by day 3 i was with jason on just REALLY not giving a damn i even gave up brushing my hair as evident by any photo past thursday. its dusty, its dirty, its hot. embrace it
WE are the music-makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams; World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams: Yet we are the movers and shakers of the world, forever it seems
I found that dirty when I was awake was fine, but sleeping dirty is not my thing. So, I kept a big garbage bag for bedding and pajamas--as soon as I got up in the morning, the PJ's, blankets and pillows went in and stayed dust-free till bedtime. When I was getting ready to hit the hay, I gave myself a thorough wet nap bath (except hair) then slathered myself head to foot in really good lotion. My skin tends to be dry and sensitive and it totally absorbed the goo overnight. As soon as I woke up, there was a full-body coat of sunscreen applied onto my still clean skin. It's much easier to get an even coating BEFORE you get dusty, and I really think the dust sticks to it and provides an extra layer of sun protection. I NEVER reapplied sunscreen and had no issues with sunburn. Also, I highly recommend Burt's Bees Peppermint Foot Lotion. Nothing could feel better after spending all day on your feet than this shit. It moisturizes, cools, and when you put it on, you can give yourself a helluva nice foot massage! My nephew runs marathons and he uses it after he runs his races too!
Oh, and for you water truck chasers--that shit is gross! Non-potable water can't be ingested because it's contaminated, and your skin will absorb water and any contaminants in it. Even if you don't get sick, do you really want to wear liquefied dead frog all week?
It's my job to educate Sparkle Ponies...I'm not nice about it...don't be a Sparkle Pony and we'll get along just fine.
Oh, and for tooth brushing, use mouthwash instead of toothpaste. Same clean feeling and it is way easier to clean out of your toothbrush than sticky paste. Then rinse with another swig of mouthwash. Waste less water, less cleanup time, and eliminate dragon breath in one fell swoop!

Bring lots of bags. Bag to put trash in. Bags to store clean stuff in. I put all my clothes in bags. One for everyday. Zip-lock bags of all sizes and trash bags as well. The more bags the better. Bags help keep it all clean. I also put my sleeping aids(blankets, pillows) in a trash bag when not in use, they stayed very dust free. If there is anything you do not want dust to get on, then do not bring it to the Playa, if there is anything that could be better without dust, then by all means bag-it! Baby wipes are great as well in keeping things clean. Although I was the only one looking at my balls, baby wipes sure kept them fresh and clean to look at.
